Bart schloss 2018 das Lasalle College of the Arts als Hauptfach Bildende Kunst ab. Seit seiner ersten Einzelausstellung “God Complex” in der MyanmArt Gallery im Mai 2019 hat er eine Reihe von freiberuflichen Kollaboorationen mit großen Marken wie AIA, Bosch, Tiger Beer, etc. durchgeführt.
EN: b. 1996, Grew up in Myanmar, an authoritarian country, Bart was frustrated by a corrupted school system, a strict religion, and the
inability to assimilate into the traditional Burmese culture. Access to American Pop Culture such as Hip Hop through movies,
cartoons, comic books, novels and magazines found in Burmese bootleg markets provided him a lens to the alternative outside world. Since acquainting with graffiti in his 8th grade, he started practicing under the moniker ""Bart Was Not Here"" after the character in “The Simpsons”, paying homage to René Magritte’s “The Treachery of Images
၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်တွင် Bart သည် Lasalle College of the Arts မှ Visual Art အဓိကဖြင့် ကျောင်းပြီးခဲ့သည်။ သူ၏ ပထမဆုံး တစ်ကိုယ်တော်ပြပွဲဖြစ်သည့် “God Complex” ကို ၂၀၁၉ ခုနှစ် မေလတွင် Myanm/art gallery ၌ ပြသပြီးချိန်မှစကာ AIA, Bosch, Tiger Beer အစရှိသည့် အမှတ်တံဆိပ်ကုန်ပစ္စည်များနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းလုပ်ငန်းများ လုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့သည်။

Barts Bilder sind voller Einflüsse aus
Animation, Film, Zeichnung und Anspielungen auf die Popkultur sind eine Mischung aus Text und Bild, die seine Erfahrungen als burmesi
scher Muslim in der Militärdiktatur in Myanmar und sein Leben als Immigrant gegenüberstellen. Seine Bilder wurden als das beschrieben, “was im Kopf von jemandem vorgeht, der die Welt und die Freiheit durch Bildschirme und Seiten kennengelernt hat”. Sein Humor ist voll und ganz zu schätzen, zusammen mit einem mit Pointen gespickten Kommentar über seine Vergangenheit als Außenseiter in seinem Heimatland und als Außenseiter in der westlichen Welt, aber er verbindet sich mit Menschen überall durch die Liebe zu verschiedenen Kulturen und Subkulturen
EN: “Old Dirty Bastards” print series stemmed from Kyaw’s love for Hip Hop music and disdain for the figures that had driven his home
country,Burma, down to the ground for decades. He produced the first batch of Old Dirty Bastard while he was in college to share amongst his friends, disseminate in the public spaces, and occupy Burmese meme forums on social media.
The main purpose for this body of work is to show the humorous side of the Burmese culture, and how the people use humor as a tool to fight, to entertain each other, and cope during the desolate authoritarian years that spanned for decades.
